woman after my own heart

Mount Rainier hiding her head in the soft cloud cover ~ 12.07.05

Driving to work this morning, the sight was so beautiful with the Cascades and the Olympics both making an appearance. Grabbed the point and shoot to take advantage of this view while driving East across the I-90 floating bridge. Shooting photos while driving, a tad bit dangerous. Yeah, don't try this at home folks. ; )

I'm so glad you share these glimpses into the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. That's funny you mentioned the dangerous photo opp thing while you're driving. I was wondering how you were able to drive and film the snow video.

Whatever. Next time, think about pulling over and taking a photo. Who knows, maybe you'll discover something along the roadside like a $100 bill or a different shot that would have escaped you otherwise.

Hi Seren, The snow video was easy ... city street, not too much traffic, low speeds. Only challenge being that I drive a five-speed, but not a big deal in that scenario. The original idea of shooting while driving was one borrowed from a friend ... I'd actually never done it before a few months ago. Now, I find myself trying it fairly often. Especially when the weather is either really beautiful or unusual.

You're right with the concept of you never know what you'll find when you stop to explore. I actually find that to be true in an infinite amount of situations. You used the side of the road in your reference, and it's true. Though I've never found $100 (to this point) I have driven away with some really nice images after a stop.
